All-Round Communications · NGO · Multi-year engagement

All-round communications for Correlation – European Harm Reduction Network.

A multi-year stint inside the NGO world, blending project management, social media strategy and hands-on design — turning a network's underused communications channel into one of its most consistent assets.

CEHRN printed publications — harm reduction policy papers and reports designed for European audiences.

“Pinar has supported our team for a few years. Besides her valuable support in regard to project management, she was responsible for the design and lay-out of some of our publications. She was doing a great job, by combining her creative skills as designer with a practical hands-on mentality, which enabled us to deliver a perfectly designed publication in a very short period of time. Pinar is quickly understanding the processes within organisations, knows what is needed and has excellent qualities in regard to design and lay-out.”

- Katrin Prins-Schiffer, Correlation-European Harm Reduction Network

The context
I worked as Communications Officer at Correlation – European Harm Reduction Network (CEHRN) for several years, embedded inside a multi-country consortium running advocacy and public-health work across Europe. The brief was breadth: the role needed someone who could write a strategy in the morning, design a publication cover in the afternoon, schedule a week of social posts in the evening, and keep three sub-projects' identities consistent across the lot.

What I did
I owned the network's social channels end-to-end, strategy, content production, scheduling and the visual system holding it all together. Alongside that, I designed publications, infographics, a network website, logos for sub-projects, and the kind of unglamorous internal collateral that keeps a multi-country consortium aligned. The work touched every part of how CEHRN showed up externally and how the team coordinated internally.

The result
CEHRN's social audience tripled during my tenure. Publications shipped on time. The visual identity tightened, the network's voice across European harm-reduction conversations became sharper and more recognisable, and the in-house team inherited systems they could keep running long after I moved on.

  • Need a self-driven communications hand who can write, design and ship without a brief for every move?
